The hotel is fairly clean and in pretty good condition. The employees were warm-hearted upon check-out. It's a new building with new rooms. The location is great, near everything including Milpitas Square.

didn't care for the kitchen not having any dishes. Bathroom floor & smell was not good. Floor was warped & smelled lil moldy from shower water getting under it.

The rooms here were spacious and in pretty good shape, making them just right. Plus, the spot is near a cool Asian marketplace with an array of restaurants to choose from 🍜.

.. hence they get away with being over-booked, terrible room, maintenance problems, wet carpet..

I spent two weeks at this place, travelling for work, and it's location was the deciding factor for the choice. Due to the relatively low rating of (6.3) when I booked I didn't have high expectations, so I wasn't disappointed. The room was clean, WiFi signal was strong everywhere, even outside of the building and the Internet connection was stable, although too slow for streaming video.

The WiFi captive portal warns that you need to pay for an extra plan if you want business VPN or Skype to work, or you need higher speed. This worried me, because I absolutely needed to be able to connect to my company's VPN. However, it turned out that both VPN and Skype worked for me on the basic free "plan", so this was not the issue. I don't know if this was unintentional, and others may have other experiences, but it's something might worth asking before booking.
